Professor Paulo Guimaraes was the first Brazilian BJJ Black-Belt to open a gym in Australia, and Paulo is the highest ranked BJJ black belt in the country. Paulo is also the founder of the NSW Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Kids Classes at ROOTS BJJ Warringah Mall

BJJ kids classes improve self-confidence, coordination, flexibility, self-control, and discipline. Kids BJJ classes are also a great way to make friends. The recognition gained from peers for the student's effort and progress on the mats is an extra confidence booster. The international grading system helps teach children how to set goals and how to achieve them through perseverance and determination. ROOTS BJJ offers a range of training options for children and teens. These class are suitable for both boys and girls. We also have Little Ninjas classes for children aged 3 to 5 years. These are modified BJJ classes where the focus is on having fun, building coordination, and making friends. ​
